You are wondering how to obtain a Vietnam visa for UK citizens if you are currently in Israel, you may find this guide helpful.
First of all, you should note that you are not required to obtain Vietnam visa if your stay in Vietnam is less than 15 days from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 and your arrival date is not within 30 days from your previous exit with Vietnam visa exemption. Otherwise, a valid visa is required.
If this is your case, as a UK citizen, you may have two options to get a visa for Vietnam regardless of your current place. They are:
1. Apply for visa on arrival
If this option is used, you are required to apply online for visa approval letter via a travel agent first. This letter is issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department via the travel agent as an official permission allowing its bearers to board their flight and pick up full visa upon arrival at Vietnam airport.
Despite its convenience (no travel to embassy required), it is for those who travel to Vietnam by air only. It is not applicable if you travel to Vietnam by land or sea.

2. Apply for a visa at Vietnam Embassy (traditional way to obtain a valid visa for Vietnam)
If you use this option to obtain a visa for Vietnam, you should contact the Embassy in advance to know what are required documents you need to submit and the procedure you need to follow. Otherwise, it may take you more time and cost you much to provide full documents.
You may find yourself very lucky as there are two offices of Vietnam embassy/consulate in India.
1. Embassy of Vietnam in New Delhi, India
2. Consulate General of Vietnam in Mumbai, India
